The Fairytale Princess

In keeping with the same topic as my previous post, this is about wedding. If you're anti-wedding in any way, look away now.

Disney have teamed up with Alfred Angelo bringing classic Disney princess dreams to real life. The collection of seven is based on several Disney princesses, such as Belle (Beauty and the Beast), Ariel (The Little Mermaid) and a few others.

And each dress has the elements to each princess character! Can you guess which is which? Some of these dresses aren't what I would called amazing, but a few of them are definately simplistically elegant and stylish. I'm not of being ashamed I still love watching Disney films; they always cheer me up. Especially when I'm sick or in a foul mood. When I was young, one of my "ambitions" was to be a princess. And now I can... Once I save up for it!

The Princess Didn't Need A Frog

Unless you've been hiding under a rock for the past several months, you should be aware that there was a huge ceromony in celebration of a Royal Wedding! The marriage of Prince William to Kate Middleton! Now I didn't really watch too much of it, apart from seeing what people wore (and lolzing at Phillip Schofield's very detailed decriptions of people's outfits... He must of had a script!) and of course... What dress the bride wore and who it was designed by!

Kate Middleton wore a gorgeous elegant dress designed by the fabulous (Sarah Burton at) Alexander McQueen:

Absolutely amazual! While watching some of the coverage, there were people saying how she should've gone more out there and all this malarky but leave the girl alone. It's her own wedding and I thought she looked so elegant and a modern day princess! Her sister Pippa looked absolutely gorgeous, also. How do the Middleton ladies (Mother Middleton included) keep such lovely little figures?!

And the "royal kiss" that everyone waited for! It was pretty adorbz, it looked like he said "Shall we kiss?" before giving his new wife a quick peck on the lips. How sweet.

Welp... I guess that's one prince down. Not to worry, there's still one left. Now where is that Prince Harry...

Music Of The Week - Skream

Happy Easter, everyone! Well it's been very fabulous here; not only for the glorious sunshine everybody craves, but the long weekends, bank holidays and any excuse for the good ol' Brits to "get smashed" and show too much flesh and all look like red lobsters from lack of sun protection! Crazy stuff! I usually have to work but have been lucky and spending my time off out gallavanting!

So let's keep this post short and sweet! My MOTW is called "Where You Should be" by Skream ft. Sam Frank:

Skream (aka Oliver Dene Jones) is a British dupstep producer, and has produced several singles and I think he pretty much "rose to fame" for his remix of La Roux's "In For The Kill."

This song is hot, but I prefer the Shy FX remix of it, shown below. Enjoy!!

House Of Love's Royal Wedding

The team at T Mobile have always created some great adverts with "impromptu" bursts of dancing and singing in the middle of busy landmarks. And there they've done it again with a bit of a twist! They've made a spoof of the Royal Wedding:

It's pretty lolz and some of the look-a-likes are really uncanny! Love the moves and some old school East 17!

Havaianas A Welly Fabulous Time

It's nearly that time of the year of Festivals again! Unfortunately this year, it appears that I won't be going to any because I couldn't get a ticket for certain ones or couldn't find elegable companions. I'm already super jealous from seeing all these pretty summer clothes, and knowing I won't be ruining mine this year.

An important part of your ensemble of being at a festival is of course, wellies! And Havaianas are doing their part for festivals with their own wellingtons. Saw them in Selfridges yesterday and they're super cute.

Contrasting coloured Havaianas. This is my favourite so far, and come in other colours, too!

Then we have the play it safe black ones, and these tropical little ones! Which ones will you be wearing this year and how will you be wearing yours?

Music Of The Week - SebastiAn

If my writing is terrible today, I apologise. It's my birthday today (and I can cry if I want to!) and... I'm not gonna lie. Just a little worse for wear. I did have a fabulous night, though! Thank you for asking. Anyway, enough of that. My MOTW is by a French artist, SebastiAn and the song is called "Embody."

SebastiAn has remixed for several other arists, some of my favourites include Uffie, Klaxons, Bloc Party and The Rapture.

I love watching this video. And it reminds me how we all have a little bit of a dancer inside us all! Enjoy. I'm off to have a few more drinks in the sun and drown my sorrows in being another year older.

Say "Yes" to Lucazade

So not only is everyone going crazy for the anticipation of Prince William and Kate Middleton's special day, there's also alot of excitement about the 2012 Olympics. I'll be the first to admit I'm not really too bothered about the Olympics. I mean... Come on, I get most of my cardio exercise from shopping for crying outloud. But then I saw this awesome awesome advert for Lucazade Sport!

I was curious to see what was going on. But it involves female boxer Katie Taylor, Tinie Tempah and the amazual drummer, Travis Barker. Have a see for yourself:

Ooo I think I need a sports drink now!

What Was I Thinking? Intergalactic Pants

Outfit was totally inspired by Christopher Kane's 2011 Resort Collection. Well... At least my trousers were.

If I'm being honest, I'm not much of a Kane fan. Nor did this collection "wow" me. But the more coverage I saw, the more it grew on me. And seeing his collection being reworked and filtered into affordable prices for us normal homosapians, I "had to" buy me something from space!

The harem trousers are from my second home, TopShop. Oh I love TopShop. Threw on a off-brown vest, lace cardigan and suede wedges. I cheated and the black/gold plaited necklace is actually a hair tie. Talk about being versatile.

My hair is also at an annoying length since I cut it all off just over a year ago. And I have way too much of it. Just trying to get some of the layers off of around my face with a french braid. For some reason I cannot do an actual french braid, so it's like... an inside out braid?

Thank you Christopher Kane... For making me spend more of my hard earned money on buying spaceman pants.

Music Of The Week - Metronomy

I've had this song on repeat for the past week and can't get enough of it! It feels like a blended mixture of upbeat The XX mixed with a little twist of Bloc Party. My song is called "The Look" by Metronomy; a band formed by Joseph Mount. They've remixed for several artists that include Lykke Li, Klaxons, The Young Knives and Architecture in Helsinki to name a few.

The song is from their album, "The English Riviera" and it's out tomorrow! I'm excited about seeing what else is on them album!

Yohji Yamamato Exhibition

I took some time out of my day to go to Yohji Yamamato's current exhibition at the Victoria and Albert Museum in one of my favourite cities; London.

Some people I know hate the hussle but I love taking time out in London. Wandering around, absorbing the culture, finding new places (or shortcuts or detours...!), sometimes spotting a few celebrity type people and my favourite past time... Shopping! I'm also quite fond of the V&A Museum and the building. The location and surroundings is one place I enjoy walking around in.

The exhibition basically showed you Yamamato's life with multi media and pieces from his men's and women's collections, and was a bit like a timeline of how he started up to the present. I loved being up close to his garments and being able to see all the detailing and his "unusual" way of pattern cutting that makes the style of his clothing. Here's a few of his pieces and bits around the museum:

Go check it out! Exhibition is shown until July 2011!

What Was I Thinking? Socks and Sandles

It was such a beautiful day today and I thought I'd wear my bit of spring before the sun goes into hiding again. A combination of a floral onesie, levis jacket, and I even braved myself to bare some legs to see the sun.

Nothing like a nice cup of tea and a vogue in the garden to enjoy the sun! I do feel hayfever season coming in fast. Sneeze attacks weren't so fun.

I love my "Ali" necklace from Tatty Devine. Birthday present from a few years ago but I still love wearing it. And I also bought new shoes a few days ago... Oops!! In my defense, they were from Primark and cheap! Yep... That's what I was thinking today.

(Jacket: Vintage Levi's, Playsuit Onesie: Primark, Socks: Urban Outfitters, Shoes: Primark)

Music Of The Week - CockNBull Kid

My song for this week is called "Asthma Attack" by CockNBull Kid, aka Anita Blay. This is a really light and airy piece of pop song. I love it!! Check it out below:

P.S. I wish I could walk around the streets of London singing away, and have dancers all around me!

Happy Mother's Day!

Yep, you heard right. It's Mother's Day today. Lots of love to all mother's, grandma's, nanna's and yummy mummy's to be! Hope you all have a wonderful and fabulous day. I love my mum, and actually don't know what I'd do without her.

The lucky mother is on holiday at the moment, but I guess this is my little tribute to her; vintage picture of us together! Maybe that's why she went on holiday incase I still try and squish her...

Happy Mother's Day, everyone!
